Introduction

Point of Care was founded in 2007 by a group of business and medical professionals that realised patients with chronic and critical illnesses were making expensive and unnecessary trips into large acute hospital to receive medicines that they could have received in primary care centre’s or in some cases in their home.

Insurance Coverage

Since its inception it has treated thousands of patients providing infusion, injection and health screens in more convenient and accessible locations and is proud to be associated with some of Ireland’s top medical groups. Both Quinn Health and Hibernian Aviva cover a range of infusion and nursing procedures for the sole purpose or reducing the expense and hassle to their customers by reducing the number of times they have to travel into large hospitals to receive a treatments.

Medical Consultants

Our service is steeped in medical governance and oversight with the Hospital and Privately based Medical Consultants in Ireland driving the use of our service by referring patients into Point of Care when they believe a patient is appropriate to receive that treatment in a non acute Hospital setting. When a patient arrives at our clinic our obligation is to be prepared and ready to provide them their treatments or Injectible education in a comfortable and efficient manner. At the end of each treatment we send a report back to the referring doctors to let them know that the treatment was delivered and keep them updated.
